Nathan joined LAB in 2015 after completing his graduate studies in landscape architecture at the University of Georgia. He brings his hard-working nature and attention to detail to the LAB office.
Originally from the Midwest, Nathan grew up exploring his grandparents’ farm in rural Illinois where he developed a love of nature and learned the meaning of hard work. As an undergraduate at the University of Missouri, he studied ecology and researched the impact of landscape management practices on avian populations.
During graduate school, Nathan worked in Georgia’s Downtown Design Studio where he helped to guide downtown development in small communities throughout the state and established an interest in historic preservation. Nathan’s personal work focused on the creation of multi-functional landscapes that aim to integrate cultural and environmental systems. His thesis proposed a landscape-based approach to waste management and reuse in the brewing industry. Nathan’s interests include landscape infrastructure, industrial ecology, and urban ecosystems.
