Xibei Song

Xibei joined LAB in 2013, having recently graduated with her Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of Community Planning from Auburn University. Before she joined LAB, she interned in D.I.R.T. studio and AECOM’s Shanghai office, and worked on projects ranging from different scales and in different regions.

Growing up in a family with several relatives who worked in the land development fields, she found herself passionate about creating beautiful public spaces, which led her to graduate studies in America. She believes a beautiful public space will bring tremendous happiness and important memories to people and will activate the urban spaces connected to it. She also traveled to Rome to study the characteristics of the public spaces, where she developed a series of studies about the piazzas in Rome. As a Chinese person, with a different education background, she brings a lot of diversity to her designs and to the team.
